Do you believe that no one can make you feel a certain way?

Lately, I’ve had conversations with other highly sensitive empaths and I’ve noticed a couple of women saying, “I’m tired of everyone dumping on me. They won’t stop telling me their problems. They make me feel exhausted. They don’t listen to me. Seeing their messages makes me feel anxious all day long.”

While I listened and had compassion for them, I kept thinking, but no one can make you feel anything. One of my favorite mantras is, “I am responsible for how I feel.”

I get it, as a highly sensitive empath, it is our default to ‘feel’ what others are feeling. But then it is our responsibility to set our boundaries, clear our energy, and take care of ourselves.

I thought of one more tip to add. It’s a clearing meditation that will help you let go of any low-vibration, negative energy you may be holding on to.
